AIAIAI

AIAIAI was born out of Copenhagen’s nest of creativity known as the A-house. Apart from hosting a club on top of the old industrial building AIAIAI initiated a collective consisting of more than 200 young artists, musicians and designers. AIAIAI, together with a variety of different people, designers, musicians, artists etc, create earphones, headsets, headphones and other electronic related products that make a genuine statement, without being to flash like most other headphones.

Long

Long was formed in London, 2008 by young designers Gareth Emmett and Rhys Dawney. The concept behind the brand was simple, super length t-shirts with a skinny fit. Bored with over complicated prints and overwhelming colour combinations the pair decided to take things back to basics, with bold and simple shapes. Every T-shirt screen-printed by hand to ensure each T-shirt was unique. They do however only come in one size but Made from Plastic is such fan, that we recommend you hit the gym if you can’t get into yours.

Help Remedies

While there are many perks to flying the nest, there are however some drawbacks such as doing your own washing and not having your mum at hand to diagnose every cough and tickly throat. Made from Plastic has found the solution though in Help Remedies, which was created to make solving simple health issues simpler and somewhat stylish at the same time with their quirky packaging. Made from Plastic hopes you find Help Remedies as helpful as we have.

David Lindwall Collection

Made from Plastic has always been a fan of David Lindwall, especially as he is not your typical designer, having walked down the best catwalks, Thrown the best parties ( also being the DJ) and not to mention designing some of Made from Plastic’s favourite piece, including a stint at our beloved J Lindeberg. So it is no surprises to Made from Plastic that his latest collection greets you with overwhelming feeling on jealousy if you don’t have one and an innate sense of pride if you do, with his enigmatic new collection having the perfect balance between fantasy and real.

This is David Lindwall, Reborn, 1982. The start of a new era.

Curators by Design Collection

Made from Plastic’s latest obsession comes in the form of T-shirt brand Curators by Design, who uses cinema, theater, art, literature, music, science, philosophy and history as inspiration for their designs.

Curators by Design offer truly original T-shirt prints with a timeless quality unlike other T-shirt labels with their so called “witty” slogans that are currently saturating the market.

Art of The Trench

Burberry has just launched a whole new site, entitled Art of The Trench, which is a celebration of the iconic Burberry trench coat. For the launch of the site, Burberry have commissioned a collection of photographs of trench coats wearers taken by photographer Scott Schuman of The Sartorialist. For this first collaboration, Scott has been capturing street portraits of people in Burberry trench coats in London, Milan, New York, Paris, Berlin, Sao Paulo and Venice over the last few months.

Art of The Trench celebrates our iconic trench coat, capturing the emotional connection behind our distinctive outerwear heritage. Everybody has a different story related to their coat or the first time they came into contact with one - I love the idea that people from all over the world can share those stories and images with each other and all the different attitudes and expressions of the Burberry trench coat and the people who wear it."
-Christopher Bailey

Made from Plastic loves this creative and innovative way to celebrate one of Britain’s most iconic pieces.

April 77: Autmn/Winter 2009 Collection

Referencing the essence of the alternative scene, April 77 found inspiration for its Autumn/Winter 09 collection. Borrowing the most influential themes of the indie, punk, skin, and grunge scenes, April 77 was born again. Although four strong themes underline the collection, it presents a cohesive look allowing endless pairing and matching possibilities for the Autumn/Winter09 line.

Autumn/Winter 09 provides a strong collection that speaks to each of these inspirational scenes independently while encompassing the driving force behind the alternative music scene as a whole. Knits, denim, a slim silhouette and form fitting outerwear make the Autumn/Winter 09 line one that pulsates with the same passion and energy as its influences did.
