Store Front, The Disappearing Face of New York is a visual guide to New York City’s timeworn storefronts from Gingko Press. It’s a collection of powerful images that capture the neighbourhood spirit and familiarity that these shops once embodied. Almost all of these businesses are a reflection of New York’s early immigrant population, a wild mix of varying ethnic backgrounds. This is book is an exceptional visual history of New York and its ever changing face and a one of Made from Plastic’s favourite new books.

Ashi Dashi

If you like to keep your feet nice and toasty then you will love this exceptionally playful and quirky American label Ashi Dashi. Why the Japanese name well it roughly translates to "expose your feet" or "stick out your foot", which is quite an apt name. Ashi Dashi produces high quality socks, with a fun approach, without being novelty or looking like they came from a joke shop. They take their inspiration from everyday objects to geometrical compositions, all done in limited runs. Made from Plastic is big fan of this label and their new take on a wardrobe staple.
